My Wife and I were praying about beginning a house church over a period of several years. We had several people give us encouraging words saying we should start a church. As we began praying, we felt God saying we should look for a place to start. God pointed us to the community of New Berlin. We feel Him saying we should never own a building so our focus is on Him and what He would have us do in the community and not on a building.

            Several pastors and I began praying for the people in the community and the surrounding area to be open to the Holy Spirit and a different way to worship. We feel the spirit of revival in the area and we want to be ready for the harvest. The name Son Mountain Fellowship came about from several people giving suggestions to possible names, and it came from mixing the suggestions through prayer and meditation. Son is for Jesus, Mountain, we like to be with Jesus on the mountain top, to experiences closeness with him. Fellowship because Jesus wants us to have fellowship not just with Him, but with each other. We, God's children are to learn to love one another.   

            We believed at the beginning we would start in the New Berlin Community Center, the first couple of Sundays were booked and God lead us to the Youth Center on the New Berlin Mountain Highway, to the Youth Center. Everyone and anyone is welcome to join us to learn more about Jesus. Jesus wants us to come just as we are. It is about building a relationship with Jesus Christ, and a relationship with fellow believers here and other all who belong to Jesus. Remembering it's all about Jesus.
